Goslings Family Reserve is a true gem created with the same extraordinary blend as Black Seal Rum, carefully aged for a full 16 years in oak barrels. From every drop of this delicious liquor, any trace of the solera method is absent, guaranteeing a purity and complexity of flavor comparable to the finest Scotch and Cognac.

This edition is extraordinarily limited, with each bottle hand-numbered. Its characteristic champagne-bottle-shaped container evokes a legendary story: it tells that the Gosling family began bottling their rum in this elegant style in the early 20th century. Using champagne bottles recovered from the British Officers’ Mess stationed in Bermuda, they sealed them with shellac. Hence the name “Black Seal”. Since then, the world has adopted this term, inspiring the company logo, a black seal, which plays on the double meaning of “seal” in English, which can mean both seal (animal:marine mammal) and seal (wax seal).
