Four years at sea for a unique bourbon which entices you with its notes of VANILLA and CARAMEL
This is the magic of a bourbon that has traveled through the oceans and come back transformed.
In 2012, Trey Zoeller made a bold gamble in the world of bourbon: he took three of his prized Jefferson’s barrels and sent them on an epic adventure aboard the M.V. OCEARCH, which traversed the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
After four years of sailing and prolonged exposure to the harsh marine climate, the bourbon returned to land transformed. The salty air, thermal oscillations, and constant movement of the ship had forged an extraordinary beverage, characterized by deep caramel nuances and an intriguing balance of sweetness and salinity, courtesy of the sea.
The aroma reveals a symphony of vanilla and wood, embraced by floral hints, caramel, and a touch of salt.
On the palate, it manifests with an intense sweetness accompanied by a hint of spiciness, showcasing notes of caramel, vanilla, citrus, pepper, and a smoky nuance.
The finish, of medium persistence, offers a unique experience, with hints of cereal, vanilla, brown sugar and an enchanting presence of salted caramel.
